Want to set foot on an adventure? Push the boundaries of who you are and what you do?
Then you should enrol on the Duke of Edinburgh’s award. To achieve the award you will need to; develop a skill, take part in some physical exercise, get involved in some voluntary work and go on some camping expeditions. All of these activities will be outside of your normal school day.
The award is a great way to build and develop your friendships, expand your horizons, become more independent and responsible and learn to work as part of a team in progressively challenging environments.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s award is open to anyone in years 10, 11 and 12 at bronze, silver and gold levels respectively. You can do your bronze award at Foxford (we have 21 places available) or through the open award centre for DofE in Coventry, which is based at Queens Road.
The cost, spread across the year, will total to about £160 at bronze and silver. Gold is a little bit more expensive depending on what you choose to do for your expeditions and the residential element.
