Foxford Charity Work

Pupils are encouraged to consider the needs of the community at large while they are members of Foxford. Charities have benefitted to the tune of many thousands of pounds due to the enterprise and generosity of students, parents and staff. Recent fund-raising days have raised money for Children in Need.

There is a comprehensive musical activity at Foxford; school choirs, bands and drumestra. Most rehearsals are held at lunchtime and after school. Students have the opportunity to learn an instrument, taught by our own specialist teachers these include Piano/ keyboard, string, woodwind, brass, percussion and guitar. The school holds regular concerts. The Department runs various trips to workshops and professional music concerts.

Drama & Dance

Drama and Dance continue to provide our pupils with opportunities to get involved with a variety of performance activities. Foxford aims to mount a major production every year as well as regular workshops as part of examination courses. The school also runs regular trips to see the best theatre available both locally and nationally as well as maintaining a policy of inviting educational drama groups to perform at Foxford.

Sport Clubs

At Foxford we offer a wide range of clubs and activities for everyone to join in. We are passionate about the social aspects as well as the wellbeing benefits of which sport offers.

We have strong club links that we can direct student to if they have an interest beyond school sport.

We encourage all students to read for pleasure as this enhances essential literacy levels.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths – our STEM club offers students the opportunity to use all 4 areas to plan, design and investigate areas of interests, STEM encourages collaboration of like-minded students who potentially will go on to further study STEM based subjects. Trips are also organised for this group including to the Big Bang fayre and they help to organise activities for Science Week.

Art Club

Any year group students can attend Art club after school weekly to practice the skills they have learnt in lessons and extend the range of mediums they use.

Chess Club

There is a lunchtime chess club which any students can attend to practice their skills against each other and members of staff.
